MaryAnne Lindeblad

Medicaid Director, Washington Health Care Authority

MaryAnne Lindeblad brings a broad health care background to the top position in the Washington State Medicaid program. Lindeblad, has been an active health care professional as well as a leader spanning most aspects of health care including acute care, long-term care, behavioral health care, and services for people with disabilities. Prior to her appointment as State Medicaid Director, she served for two years as the Assistant Secretary for Aging and Disability Services Administration in the Department of Social and Health Services. Previously, she was Director of the Health Care Services Division of the Medicaid program. Lindeblad held a variety of leadership positions over the years, including assistant administrator of the Public Employees Benefits Board.

In 2015 she was inducted into the Eastern Washington University Chapter of the Upsilon Phi Delta Society.   She is a member of the executive committee for the National Academy for State Health Policy and is on the board of the National Association of Medicaid Directors. Lindeblad holds a bachelor of science in nursing from Eastern Washington University and a master’s in public health from the University of Washington.
